Not For Long.....

At least for a few more days the Dad's Club sprinklers will continue to provide that much needed respite from our Summerlike temps.  The coming change in seasons is further magnified here by the soccer and football leagues in full swing versus the early Summer sports.  It won't be long before mother nature will be adding he own irrigation and painting those trees in the distance with Fall's color palate.  

Dog Daze....

This border collie mix and his owner enjoyed a great romp Tuesday morning in the Dad's Club park soccer and lacrosse field at 126th and River Roads.  Fortunately for the geese in the distance this pooch wasn't concerned about much but the ball being tossed.  At least for the next few weeks we'll get to enjoy days like these before the Fall is upon us.  Hard to believe in a few short months we'll be shoveling snow and hanging holiday lighting.  Wait....did I really say that?  Never mind...forget I mentioned it...let's just enjoy the Summer days we have ahead of us.

You May Want To Park That.....

While the Conner Prairie Balloon always provides a great view of east Carmel,   this may not be the day to be airborne with the possible severe storms forecast.  Still, it's a picturesque scene above the Dad's Club fields at 126th and River Road.  As long as the bad weather gets cleared out for the holiday weekend we can put up with a bit of turbulence today....providing we can do that with our feet planted firmly on the ground.  

East Carmel Housing Blog For 5.24.2011

Six more homes went under contract since 5.17 in east Carmel and this one on Pebblepointe in Bayhill has moved closer to a closing date.  Properties went under contract on Silas Court in Moffit Farm at Prairie View, Ashton Place in Eden Estates, Bayshore Court in The Woodlands, Hawthorne Drive in Cool Creek North, Fernleaf in Haverstick and Creekside Lane in Wood Creek. These homes averaged 123 days on the market before moving under contract.

Thirteen new homes came on the market since 5/17 including homes in Brighton Woods, The Overture, Avian Glen, Delaware Trace, Lake Forest, Worthington, Emerald Crest, Keystone Woods, Briar Creek, Briar Lane Estates, Spring Creek, Brookshire and The Maples. 

As of 5/24/11 there are 278 homes on the market east of Keystone Parkway in Carmel.  To date in 2011 there have been 109 closed residential transactions in east Carmel with an average sale price of $307,844.00.  As of 5/24/2010 the average closed sales price in east Carmel was $300,053.  The total number of homes either pended or closed as of 5/24/2011 is 178 homes. On 5/24/10 there had been 201 pending or sold homes for the year. Units of sales are off 12% in 2011 while the average sales price in east Carmel has increased $7791.

One Mother Of A Sunday.....

Even though it was Mom's day, the games went on at both the East Main Street (Badger Field) and 126th and River Road Dad's club locations.  A Lacrosse or Soccer win surely was all Mom could have wanted. The ever elusive orange ball actually made several appearances in the southern sky capping a beautiful Mother's Day weekend in Carmel.
