Some of you may be sick of hearing this but it's important so we'll continue to whisper to everyone on it.  This year the Hamilton County Assessor's office is asking everyone to verify their property's deductions because there is so much fraud going on in the system.  If you don't verify them in writing you could lose a mortgage and/or a homestead deduction which could cost you thousands of dollars.  Here's what you need to do.  Check your property tax card by going to the Assessor's site and look up your home on the right tool bar.  You can also call them (phone numbers are there as well).  It will take but a minute of your time and may save you a big headache come tax bill season next May.
