While some of us may enjoy a little thunder and the occasional flash of lightning with our April, clearly the residents of this east Carmel neighborhood do not. This is the Cherry Creek Estates clubhouse in the 5849 block of Cherry Creek Boulevard (east of 14000 Hazel Dell Parkway). Earlier this week during that overly intense lightning storm the clubhouse was hit and suffered some minor damage to the roof and internal structure. There was also a fire in on west 106th in the Laurelwood neighborhood. No injuries were reported but there will be some extra work to be done to get this clubhouse ready for the opening of the pool Memorial Day weekend.
