At least these Lake Stonewick ducks will be fully refreshed today despite the blast furnace temps. Every time I've complained about the heat over the last few days I keep remembering this image of the digital thermostat outside the East of Keystone home offices on January 12 - exactly 180 days ago. Personally, I'll live with the heat awhile longer, thank you. Fall in east Carmel is beautiful...it's just what comes after that's not so pleasant. Perhaps we'll have a milder winter this year...or at least we'll have scenes like this one to get us through when we get 180 days down the road to January 12th again. (While it says it's a C reading...this actually was a Fahrenheit temperature).
