In the Summer of 1999 I had a home in this neighborhood listed for sale and had a semi brush with greatness that could have changed one particular street in the 46033 forever. On a warm, clear afternoon we had an appointment to show it to a confidential client. An SUV pulls into the drive and out of the car pops 18 himself. No posse or no entourage was necessary. After several viewings it just didn't seem to be the right fit for he and Ashley and they eventually purchased two homes in the 7000 block of N. Penn in Washington Township, did a tear down and rebuild and have lived there since. Needless to say it would have changed the complexion of Windpointe for many years if the Mannings HAD ended up there. One final footnote....when Peyton left the home the second time there was a small army of east Carmel school aged children waiting. They took off in hot pursuit when he drove back out towards Gray Road. CONGRATS to Carrie of the Village of West Clay (we were asked not to give a last name) who won the $100 gift card to the Bonefish Grill where she will no doubt have to try to Bang Bang shrimp.
