Ok....so it looks silly. A number of east Carmel residents were out covering everything from pansies to hosta and more last night as we plunged to a morning low of 29 degrees. It was either that or go through an entire summer of empty spaces where those plants would have punctuated our summer landscape. From the mid 80's in March to 29 today....and we're still weeks away from the traditional outdoor planting safety net of Mother's Day. In one Brookfield yard we saw yesterday's Star neatly spread out over a line of roses that have already emerged. Apparently you can save your plants with horoscopes, obituaries and world politics these days!
