A Veteran's Day that dawned bright and sunny provided a stirring scene at the Carmel Memorial on the reflecting pool across from the Palladium. Ceremonies were held across central Indiana today and gave us all reason to pause and remember those who have given for our freedoms. In the last 10 years in the U.S. there's been a lot more of that type of sacrifice. A nice side note in east Carmel....I got to witness a gentleman paying for the small collection of groceries that belonged to the uniformed service man behind him this morning at the O'Malia's on 126th no doubt as a measure of thanks. Great to see that we Hoosiers can still show our appreciation.
