All About Carmel

The east Carmel housing market is ever changing and has continued to do so in 2012. Here are a few of the basics for the 46033 housing scene this  year.  399 homes have closed in east Carmel this year with an average sales price of $317,650.  These homes sold at $111 square foot.  The highest closed sale was $1,002,000 at $518 per square foot.  Interestingly, down sizers were a substantial part of the market.  56% of residents over the age of 50 have or are considering downsizing in east Carmel, up by 22% from one year ago.  People are staying in their homes longer than they used to.  35% of east Carmel homeowners have been in their homes longer than eight years while just 13% moved in less than five years.
