Two More Kudos For CCS

As if winning countless IHSAA State Swimming championships wasn't enough, the CCS boys and girls swim teams helped lead the charge to install 75 low flow shower heads in the locker room areas of CHS that the swimmers utilize. This will help save thousands of gallons of water and energy to heat the water each year at CHS.  While we think this is a terrific idea, the term 'low flow' does stick in our heads as something we personally wouldn't be thrilled with. 


On a related front, CCS were recognized by the IDE as having a healthier set of eating options for students who eat 18% of their meals at school during the academic year.  Fruit, bottled water and juices are now more readily available and seem to be gaining steam across the district.  This is not only a fantastic current day set of choices for kids but will no doubt influence how they raise the next generation someday.  Personally I could stand to take a hint still being mired in my sometimes questionable lunches.
